Here is another photo of Sophie.

Looking rather sweet.

Just a note to say that Sophie is gone.

She was run over by our car today while we were driving up our driveway.

She died very, very quickly. She will be missed by Hank, Mary and Christina.

She followed Hank around EVERYWHERE he went...and
I know he misses her already.

Thanks for giving us many crazy times Sophie. We loved you very much.

Hank, Christina and I were on our way home from Farwell, rounding the corner on Meridian Road when Hank was going too fast and rambed into the snow bank. We were stuck, but that is all. No problem, except how to get out of all the snow.

Within 20 seconds there was a big black car, two twenty-something year old guys that got out of their nice car. They both tried to help Hank push on the car to get us out while I was hitting the gas, (we were in the little car), to no avail. They were covered with snow and said they will be right back, they were going to go home to get a tow strap, (just around the corner). Hank was about to say, "hey, could you just give me a lift to my house down the road", but, he figured they really wanted to help out I guess. Anyway, they never came back for us. Hank finally walked to our house and like a knight in shining armor he came back with the manly Nissan Xterra and we were out of that snow in 30 seconds flat.

My whole problem is I am saddened by my hope in the two guys who lied to us. Christina, Hank and I all thought for sure they were coming back.

Moral of the story is, even though they didn't come back to help, I will still try to help someone out who is stuck somewhere. I will also be careful in case its a bad guy or girl, but, there are still many nice people out in this world.

Have a great weekend!

It's Sunday morning and its very peaceful in our home. Cold weather is coming soon and I'm not sure I'm ready for it. Hank is though, all you have to do is see our 'little house in the prairy' shed of hard work. The wood is well thought out and full of love from Hank and even Daniel and Stephen and Kim.

I just thought I would add a picture of 3 of the men in my life, the ones that got dirty and wet hauling wood for Hank and I. The picture of 7 children to the left is only added because Hank and I are very blessed to have these precious children in our lives. They are each very amazing gifts from God, and we love them, love them love them. Its WONDERFUL being a grandparent!

Here is a picture Stephen took of the cabin around the same time he took the video. Hank and Stephen said it went up so fast. It has a tin roof too that we paid extra for and it was raining like crazy when we took a walk last night up to the cabin. Inside the cabin it sounded so pretty, not too loud and yet it had a nice jingle about it. The guys said that the men who put up the cabin didn't smile much, but two guys laughed a bit at a joke or two. Mostly they were just pretty stoic.

Since Stephen and Dad didn't need to help with the cabin much, they cleaned all our gutters and the whole roof off of debris on our tall house. That means they were climbing all over the steep incline. I'm glad I didn't know about it. :)

It's 5 in the morning. I can't sleep and it's Saturday. What a huge bummer. Anyway, the computer's internet space is allowing me to publish this. I hope you get enough of a glimpse as to the look of this cabin. We are all pretty happy about it.
